The invention of the Military Flyer by the Wright brothers spurred new technologies in the air, forever changing the very fundamentals of warfare by taking war from the battlefield and into the sky. The airplane added a new element to the concept of war, forcing nations across the globe to adapt to the emerging observational and weaponry capabilities associated with flight. This prompted the world's most talented to continue to innovate, pushing the boundaries of this ever-evolving frontier. ​​​​​​​
